Federer vs Agassi Dubai Open Photograph: (X)
20 years ago, Tennis legends Roger Federer and Andre Agassi played a thrilling match at the world’s tallest tennis court. Both Federer and Agassi are the biggest names in tennis and to honour them Dubai organised a tennis match at their Burh Al Arab Hotel.
The court was made in a helipad situated 700 feet above the ground. It was organised to promote the Dubai Tennis Championship. So they brought the big names in tennis, Roger Federer and Andre Agassi to play a friendly game on it.
It was the 20th anniversary of the event which still remains the greatest promotional event in sports history. The Middle Eastern country did an outstanding job in promoting sports in their country and now they are one of the biggest sports hubs in the world. Thanks to Dubai Duty-Free and Dubai Sports Council for making the event happen and now Dubai is the global destination for sports like Cricket, Tennis, Football, Swimming and Motorsport.

The tallest tennis court had no fences and safety nets around, so the two players had to be careful with themselves and their shots. After the event was telecasted, the whole world was stunned to see the level of tennis playing and it became a massive success for the Dubai Sports Council.
At one point Andre Agassi hit a tennis ball into the air seeing where it goes. Agassi reaches the edges carefully because of the heights and sees the ball's landing area. It was the first time for Andre in Dubai so he was very excited to play the tennis match on the tallest court. Roger Federer was also seen talking about the facilities in Dubai and predicted it would become a sporting hub of the world, which it is now. While the two were playing a helicopter was used to take footage of the legends in an aerial view.
