Indian tennis player Sumit Nagal is set to team up with Team Hawks for the highly anticipated World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi from December 19 to 22.

This star lineup includes The lineup features top Tennis stars, including Aryna Sabalenka, the world’s top-ranked women’s singles player. Joining her are Mirra Andreeva, who earned a silver medal in doubles at the Paris Olympics, and Taylor Fritz, a finalist at the 2024 US Open. 

The World Tennis League is an exciting annual tennis tournament held in the UAE, that is not affiliated to ATP and WTA. Since its inception in 2022, the league has quickly gained popularity and is set to return for its third edition this December.

The tournament features four dynamic teams, each composed of four players, competing in a mixed-gender format. Each team faces off against the others in a round-robin style, culminating in a showdown between the top two teams.

Every match includes four different games: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, and either women’s doubles or mixed doubles.

Team Hawks claimed victory in the inaugural edition in 2022, while Team Eagles triumphed in the second edition. On both occasions, Team Kites secured the runner-up position.

Team Hawk's star Sumit Nagal practices with Casper Ruud 

Ahead of the beginning of the tournament, Sumit Nagal was caught practising with Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud. Sumit Nagal shared the images and videos of their practice session on his X. Both the tennis stars were seen practicing regular hits.
