The man from Greece has won 12 ATP titles in his career. His ATP 250 campaign was too impressive as he won 7 out of 8 times, losing only one final. His ATP 500 records are heartbreaking, as he often loses out in the finals. Stafanos has played 12 ATP 500 finals, and only this time at the Dubai Open 2025 did he attain glory. On 11 of his previous occasions, he went through a series of heartbreaks.
It is tough to lose in the finals of a tennis tournament as it is one of the hardest games in sports. This time, he was on a winning mission as he played with full intensity and defeated Felix Auger Aliassime in the finals by 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets and clinched his first ATP 500 title. After winning, he fell to the ground, remembering his hard work and pain all these years. After 11 defeats in the finals, Stefanos clinched the title in his 12th attempt. This also shows his never-give-up attitude, which makes him a player to watch out for in the future.
