There have been so many talented players to look forward to in the Grand Slam week and one of the players we want to see succeed is Greek number one Stefanos Tsitsipas. Though he has not been in the best of form this season, there are still a lot of people backing him to finally win a major title and get some important points down the line as well.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was up against the unseeded Thanasi Kokkinakis and though he has been struggling in the last few tournaments, this is a match where he was supposed easily. The Greek God has not won a single title since Monte Carlo and there is no doubt all of us would be wanting him to finally get his game better and win the major title which has been eluding him for so long.
Tsitsipas faces another shocking defeat
Tsitsipas though was the higher seeded player, he was still struggling impact in this game. The Greek number one already faced a setback in the first set itself losing the gruelling set in a tiebreaker. Though we saw him try to make a comeback from the next set as he won it by a score of 6-4. Unfortunately that was the only time we saw Tsistipas on top and Kokkinakis went on to win the next set convincingly and though Tsistsipas gave a great fight in the he still fell short and suffers a 7-5 defeat losing the 4-set battle which ruins his chances to win a Grand Slam title once again.

This was another underwhelming performance from the Greek number one player as he faces a first round exit as he loses against the Australian. The poor form of Tsitsipas continues and this will be another season where he has failed to win the major title once again. This is another tournament where we have seen him unable to dominate and this has led to another upset in the US Open which will not make him happy at all. We hope there will be a time where he can finally bounce back and show us how talented he is.
