The Swedish Open has been a great tournament so far, filled with some great players in the setup. The one player we all look forward to seeing is Rafael Nadal. this is a tournament that will help him prepare for the upcoming Olympics and get some games under his belt. The King of Clay will still be a favorite for everyone despite being an unseeded player in the tournament.

Rafael Nadal was set to play in the quarter-finals against 4th-seeded Mariano Navone in the quarter-finals. This was another challenge for El Nino, who was once again against a high-seeded player who had been in form. This was the match that would show us how much the Spaniard has in store for us in this sport. He has so far played some great tennis, and we got to see some great forehand shots from him in this tournament.Β 

Nadal reaches Semi in Bastad

The first set itself was a grueling battle between the two, which went down to a tiebreaker. Both the players were in the game at this stage. This set, in the end, went in favor of Navone, who kept fighting despite Nadal making a comeback after being 4-1 in the beginning. The next set was all or nothing for the Spaniard. Nadal still came back in the second set, getting the better of the young Argentine, beating him by a score of 7-5. It was now down to the final set, and it was anyones game. This was another good battle between the two, but it was the King of clay who came out victorious.

This was a great moment for Nadal as he reached his second semi-final in 2 years. This was another great battle by the Spaniard, who will now compete in the semi-finals with Duje Ajdukovic. This victory brings El Nino close to another title on Clay, and he will look forward to winning the next two games to fix his place in the finals. We all would like the King Of Clay to finally get his hands on a trophy after a really long time.
