Tennis stars Andrey Rublev and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina's second round of the Barcelona Open 2025 witnessed a shocking moment. During the game, it was seen that a mix-up over Davidovich Fokina's racquet caused a major delay in the pre-quarter of Barcelona.
This game has seen a significant delay during the changeover. There is a girl who was assigned to give the racquet. Instead of carrying the racket Fokina intended, she took away the racquet he was playing with. This incident halted their game, with Rublev seeming visibly upset. This scene unfolded just after three games of a game that had been played.

Coming to the game dynamics, tennis star Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has stormed into the quarter-finals of the Barcelona Open 2025. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina refelcted on win!
Fokina was ecstatic after winning the game against the world number eight. The Spain-born star called this his best version of the game, as beating the top Russian star wasn't easy for him. The 25-year-old tennis star recalled their rivalry and how painful he felt when he lost five times to Rublev in their earlier meetings. The star player had a magnificent Monte Carlo Masters tournament, where he made it to the semi-finals before losing to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz.
"I don't know if this is my best version, since the year has just begun. But I do know I'm playing at a high competitive level. I'm happy, enjoying myself on court—that's the most important thing for me, and it's what makes me more dangerous. Losing five times to Andrey was more of a mental pain than a tennis one, so I'm pleased with how I handled the match strategically," Davidovich said in his press conference.
