Tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas made the worst possible start to the 2025 Australian Open. However, his girlfriend Paula Badosa showcased she is right behind him with a heartfelt gesture after her stunning second-round win against Talia Gibson at the marquee event on January 15. She thwarted her opponent by 6-1, 6-0, and made the stellar start of her 2025 year and heads to the third round where she is all set to take on Marta Kostyuk.

Paula was on a mission tonight.
In fact, she’s been on a mission since making her comeback last year.
It’s been so great to have her back at this level.
One of the most resilient players tennis has.
✅3rd Australian Open R3
So much fire.

Notably, Stefanos and Paul officially announced their relationship in June 2023. The pair is one of the most public tennis couples the sport has ever seen, regularly posting with each other on social media and tagging each other on their posts. However, the couple was separated in May 2024 but reconciled a few weeks later.
Meanwhile, the two tennis stalwarts are gearing up for the 2025 season by appearing in last month's World Tennis League and were on the same team, having almost certainly requested that to be the case before making their appearance at the tournament in Abu Dhabi.
However, the two power couples geared up for the first Grand Slam of the year in different ways. Tsitsipas suffered a shocking defeat in the first round against ATP star Alex Michelson, while Badosa made it to the third round with her stellar performance in the first and second rounds.

Despite Tsitsipas's poor and struggling form, his girlfriend Paula Badosa voiced her concerns and asked a crowd to give Tsitsipas a round of applause after his loss to American star Michelson in the first round.
"Guys I want a round of applause for him because he’s not having the best moment, but he will come back. Tennis is more than wins or losses - it’s the quiet clarity before the serve, the fight in every rally, and the balance of preparation and execution," Paula Badosa said after her R2 win.
