There have been many iconic moments that we have seen in the World of tennis this season, but none of them can be as great as the time when we finally saw Serbian legend Novak Djokovic win his Gold medal in theย Paris Olympics this season. This was one of the greatest moments we have ever seen as fans and it was a moment to celebrate for everyone.
This was also perhaps the best day for Novak Djokovic as well who has been struggling his whole career just to get his hands on the Gold medal which has been eluding him for a long time. We could see the emotion on the 37-year-old former World number one's face as he went on to beat Carlos Alacraz in the Gold medal match and how much it meant to him to win a Gold medal for his nation. There is no doubt that he was proud to represent his nation in what could be his final Olympics event.
Celebrations in Serbia break barriers
There is no doubt that Djokovic was enjoying his celebrations after the triumphant victory, but the mega celebration was waiting for him in Serbia. The 24-time Grand Slam winner and golden boy was given a hero's welcome as soon he reached home and the fans went completely insane. What was even great to see that Djokovic was matching the energy of the fans who were happy to see their athlete home and celebrate with them. These are unbelievable scenes which show us how much this gold medal meant to the people as well as how much love they have for Djokernole.

This is the emotion that I like to see from the people who are celebrating one of their legendary icons in the World of sports. This also shows that the legacy that Djokovic has created will never be forgotten by anyone and we as tennis fans should appreciate and celebrate the moment as well. These moments are something that are completely unforgettable and it is perhaps the best reception we have seen for a tennis player.
