There have been a lot of legendary figures in tennis, but there was no one who could step up to the big three in their prime. One of the biggest players in the three icons is none other than Rafael Nadal, who is now regarded as one of the best players to ever grace the court. With 22 Grand Slams and being a World number one for over 200 weeks, he has established himself as a legend in the game.

The King of Clay is still playing this season and he might not be in the form of his life, but he has still given a great performance in Bastad and has made it to his first quarter-finals of this season. It is safe to say that Rafael Nadal is slowly coming back into some form despite being 38 years old and not having the same agility as he has made it to his first quarter-final match this season after beating Cameron Norrie in two straight sets. The King Of Clay will now go on to play his game against Mariano Navone tomorrow.

Looking back at prime El Nino

There is no doubt that we have seen some great performances from Nadal in this current tournament and we all will be hoping to see him play consistently throughout this tournament. However, nothing beats the likes of an old footage of Nadal who was in his prime. Nadal in this video was up against the legendary Andre Agassi and this was one of the best winners we have seen from the Spaniard who was very much in his prime. This was a very nostalgic moment for the fans who got to experience the great highlights of him.

Watch the video below-

These are the clips that show why he is one of the greatest tennis players to ever grace the court and why he has a lot of fans in the sport. It is still great to see Nadal play and still win some games, but for the fans, nothing can compare to this clip. This is also the reason why people say that the new talents in Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz still have a long way to go to achieve greatness in the game.
