The tennis game’s wildest man Nick Kyrgios has a disastrous tournament at the 2025 Australian Open Grand Slam. The Australian in his home tournament cannot even progress to the second round. After coming back from his injury, Nick Kyrgios suffered a massive defeat in the AO Open 2025.
He faced a first-round exit after getting beaten by Jacob Fearnley in straight sets 7-6 (3), 6-3, 7-6 (2). Then he teamed up with his fellow countryman Thanasi Kokkinakis for the men’s doubles. But they retired in their first-round match against fellow Australians James Duckworth and Aleksander Vukic after trailing behind them in the second set.
Kyrgios was now the most hated guy in tennis as he often indulged in fights with fans and fellow tennis players. Nick often criticises the world's no 1 tennis seed Jannik Sinner for his doping issue. Before the start of the year, Nick wished to play against Sinner in the men’s singles and wanted to turn the crowd against him.
'Man vs Wild' Table Tennis match
That didn't happen as he faced defeat and exited the tournament earlier than expected. But nothing can stop Kyrgios from being what he is, as he was seen with Popular television host and celebrity Bear Grylls during the 2025 Australian Open tournament. Nick invited the ‘Man vs Wild’ host for a friendly match. But not a tennis match, but a Table tennis match. The Australian Open Grand Slam invited many celebrities like Jackie Chan, Oscar Piastri, Curtis Stone, and many others. The British celebrity was also invited to Melbourne.
Bear Grylls played a table tennis match against Nick but lost the game. Kyrgios appreciated Bear Grylls for playing and then gave a hug. Today will be the final day of the Australian Open and the final match will be between World No 1 and World No 2. Jannik Sinner is the defending champion while Alexander Zverev is playing for his first grand slam win.
