Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios recently participated in a fun word association game in which he was asked to connect a word with the names of various tennis players.
While some of his associations were lighthearted and open to interpretation, others sparked laughter from both the hosts and the audience.
Nick Kyrgios takes a dig at Jannik Sinner
Notably, during the game, Kyrgios again took a dig at the reigning World Number One and Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner.
When the host called out Sinner's name, Kyrgios associated the word- 'Cluster Bowl' with him alluding to the banned substance which was found in Sinner's drug test.
Later during the game, when Carlos Alcaraz's name popped up, Kyrgios made a playful banter at the Spaniard by associating the word 'Females' with him alluding to the fact that he loves to be surrounded by them.
The words he associated with other players
1) Novak Djokovic - Goat
2) Aryna Sabalenka - Evolve
3) Roger Federer - Preety and most Natural player to watch
4) Rafael Nadal - Competitiveness
5) Naomi Osaka- Authentic
6) Demon - Speed
7) Bardie - Slice
8) Serena - Champion
9) Frances Tiafoe - Vibrant
10) Stefanos Tsitsipas - Badosa
Last year, in March Sinner tested positive for the banned steroid clostebol. The Italian tennis star had since maintained his innocence, suggesting that the substance may have inadvertently entered his system during a massage. He explained that his physiotherapist used a spray containing clostebol on his fingers to treat a wound, which he believed could have led to the detection of the substance.
Nick again faces injury concerns
Nick Kyrgios attempted a comeback in 2025, but his return to the Tour has been thwarted once again by injuries. He was determined to play in his first Davis Cup tie in six years, where Australia was poised to face off against Sweden. Regrettably, a recent abdominal injury has forced him to withdraw from this important event.
