When asked who the greatest of all time (GOAT) player is, Jack Draper appeared confused during his chat with Sky Sports. The Brit believes Rafael Nadal is one of the greats, but he still believes Novak Djokovic is the greatest of all time. Nadal became the second member of the Big 3 after Roger Federer to end an extraordinary career when he announced his retirement at the 2024 Davis Cup with 22 Grand Slam singles championships.
Rafael Nadal, the King of Clay, had to end the most amazing chapter of his life due to injuries. With another victory, Djokovic, 37, will have 25 majors, the most in tennis history, tying Margaret Court, who has 24 championships. Draper is aware of this, which is why he referred to Djokovic as the greatest of all time, even if he had chosen Rafael Nadal.
During an interview with Sky Sports, Jack Draper had to pick GOAT from the tennis world. Draper picked Novak Djokovic as his GOAT, saying, "And then out of these three [Big 3]... no, because when I was growing up, every kit, every new look was him. He was just so iconic. Obviously, being a left-hander like myself. I know my head says Novak but heart is Rafa. But for me, the GOAT is obviously Novak Djokovic.

In November, Novak Djokovic announced that Andy Murray would serve as his coach for at least the beginning of the 2025 campaign. It's unlikely that anyone had anticipated seeing Murray and Djokovic work together. Jack Draper, who was taken aback himself, said he now knows why the Scot decided to return to tennis three months after retiring. Andy Murray played doubles at Wimbledon in his final tour-level match before retiring at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In the Round of 32 of the Queen's Club Championships, he faced Alexei Popyrin in his final singles match on the tour.
Jack Draper will miss United Cup
Jack Draper, who is dealing with a hip issue, believes that tennis players are "wired" in such a way that they find it difficult to quit. Despite being very positive about competing at the Australian Open, British number one Jack Draper will miss the opening event of the 2025 season due to a hip injury. A training session with four-time major champion Carlos Alcaraz was cancelled this week in Spain due to a "little bit of a niggle" for the 22-year-old. According to Draper, he has been told not to play for Great Britain in the United Cup team competition, which begins on December 30 against Argentina in Sydney. He will also miss the Davis Cup match in Japan in late January.
