Andy Murray offered his insights on the current landscape of his tennis career as he prepares to join Novak Djokovic's coaching staff. The former World No. 1 is set to assist his longtime rival during the Australian summer in 2025.

Murray decided to retire from professional tennis following the 2024 season, with the Paris Olympics marking a meaningful conclusion to his playing days. At 37, he joined forces with Dan Evans to represent Great Britain in the men’s doubles tournament, where they managed to reach the quarterfinals.

Andy Murray recently participated in Tim Henman's 24-Hour Challenge, an initiative designed to raise funds for Henman's foundation. Murray proudly shared an image of himself alongside Henman, humorously acknowledging his struggles after returning to the court.

"Managed to get back out on the Tennis court for the last hour of Tim Henman 24-hour Tennis challenge @wimbledon. I was terrible," wrote the Scot.

Novak announced Murray as his coach 

Earlier, Novak Djokovic officially announced Andy Murray as his new coach, following his split from former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic. The Serbian star took to social media to share a compelling video showcasing their time on the court, clearly stating that Murray is determined to continue his career and never liked the idea of retirement.

"I realised that the perfect coach for me at this point would be someone that has been through the experiences that I’m going through,” Djokovic explained.

Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have had an intense rivalry, competing against each other 36 times, with Djokovic leading their head-to-head record at 25-11. Their encounters have included seven Grand Slam finals, where Djokovic has triumphed in five. Notably, two of Murray's three Major titles were achieved by defeating Djokovic in the final.
