As everyone underestimated the Czech tennis star, he won the decider by winning four straight games and clinched the third set by 6-4. This one is a massive win for the 23-year-old star and his first win over a player inside the top 3. Carlos Alcaraz, known for his excellent technique and moving ability somehow lost his form playing in the middle and made many mistakes costing him the third set. He again misses out on winning a tournament by losing in the big rounds.

After this win, Lehecka moved to 22nd position in the ATP Tennis rankings which is the career best for him in all these years of playing tennis. He now has seven top-10 victories against big players that will boost his confidence level and could make him a big star very soon. Jiri Lehecka will now play against another top seed Jack Draper in the semifinals as the British player won his quarter-final game against the Italian Matteo Barrettini by 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. The other semi-finals will be played between Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger Aliassime.
