The Canadian Open is in full flow and we all are looking forward to some great players who will be featuring in this ATP 1000 tournament. One of the players we all were looking forward to witness is current World number one Jannik Sinner, who was finally making a comeback after a long break from the game. This was the moment where we finally get to see the Italian sensation in a tournament after his injury which has kept him out of the game since his exit from Wimbledon.

Jannik Sinner was up against Borna Coric in his first round game where he is not only the highest seeded player in the tournament but the defending champion as well. The Italian was set to make an impact straight away in this tournament after just recovering from an injury. There is no doubt that he is one of the best players in the world right now, but this was still a big challenge for him where he had to prove himself that he can keep performing even after injury.

Sinner starts well

There were a lot of concerns for Sinner on how he will perform after such a long break, but he proved everyone wrong as he completely dominated the Croatian in this game. Sinner beat Borna Coric in straight sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-4 and has easily made it through to the next round. Sinner was still looking in the form of his life and this was another great game for the 22-year-old Italian sensation who is looking to retain his title in Canada.

This was the best possible start Sinner could ever get in his comeback and he will want to continue this great form going forward. He has proven in this game why he is currently one of the best players in the game right now and why he holds the number one spot. Overall we will be looking forward to see him start this hard court season with another title win and keep his dominance alive. Though this is only the beginning we know what the Italian is capable if he continues to play like this.
