Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya continue to create envy-inducing moments for tennis fans with their couple goals. Both have kick-started their Wimbledon 2024 campaign with flying colours and are gearing up for the second round. Notably, both were in attendance for their partner’s performance in the first round.

Kalinskaya registered a dominant win over Panna Udvardy as she saw off the Hungarian in straight sets [6-3 6-2]. She won every match without losing serve. A solid performance from the Russian as she finished the match with 21 winners to just 18 unforced errors.

Meanwhile, Kalinskaya’s boyfriend and World No. 1 in men’s singles, Sinner, was seen in the crowd to support her. A video is doing the rounds on social media, in which the two can be seen making eye contact with each other and blushing with big smiles.

Notably, this was Kalinskaya’s first career Wimbledon main draw win. The 17th seed advanced to the second round of the competition for the first time.

Jannik Sinner to face Matteo Barrettini in 2nd round

Sinner defeated Yannick Hanfmann 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to progress to the next round. He did not have a great start as Hanfmann managed to stage a brilliant comeback in the third set despite being outplayed in the first two sets. Kalinskaya was in the stands to support her boyfriend.

The Italian’s next assignment is against his countrymate Matteo Barrettini at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Wednesday. Barrettini, a former runner-up at Wimbledon, is a strong opponent, but considering Sinner’s current form, he is expected to be the favourite. The 22-year-old recently won his maiden career title on grass at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle a couple of weeks ago.
