WATCH: Jack Draper's incredible point score against Humbert in Tokyo Open

Jack Draper and Ugo Humbert were caught in a fierce rally at the 2024 Tokyo Open where the British tennis player played hard and ended winning the rally.

Jack Draper was in a quarter-final clash against Ugo Humbert in Tokyo. But due to an abdominal injury, he is forced out of the match. Humbert was leading the match 7-5, 2-1 and Jack Draper found something wrong with his abdomen and he immediately retired from the match. 

Epic Rally between Draper and Humbert

But the match had an incredible moment where Draper and Humbert were caught in a rally and Draper ended the rally by scoring the point. Both were at equal points and fighting hard. Humbert started the serve incredibly well and he pushed Draper from one corner to another. But despite pressure, draper was playing hard to score points and at one point Humbert hit a volley shot which Draper stretched and sent back. The Frenchman couldn't capitalize on the shot and hit the net giving a point to the Brit. 

Humbert advanced to the semi-finals of the Tokyo Open and he will play Tomas Machac. During the first set, Draper was playing hard and had a medical timeout. He lost the first set and then played the second set where he again took a medical timeout and couldn't continue the match. The match between Ugo Humbert and Jack Draper was 1 hour and 12 minutes. The No. 1 British tennis player showed how tough he is by avoiding 4 break points but injury got him away from the game.

This year was very hard for Jack Draper as he lost his both matches for Great Britain at the Davis Cup. But in the Tokyo Open, he played incredibly well by defeating Mattia Bellucci and Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets. Draper was struggling with injuries in his 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons. But this year he was Injury free until now and he will be out of the tournament and it will take him some time to recover from this injury.
