The star player hits a shot into the net in the second set of the game where she was aiming to bounce back to take it to a decider. However, she vented in anger, which further led the umpire to book her for a rare code violation as she used nasty and creepy words.

Notably, the Polish star seems to have been dealing with a tough time with back-to-back losses in the last few matches. In addition, her struggles with a doping saga have also taken a toll, affecting her performance and mental health. This has also impacted her performance.

Meanwhile, Coco Gauff has stormed into the Mutua Madrid Open 2025 finals. The 21-year-old tennis star has admitted that her semi-final opponent, Iga Swiatek, was not in her best form. The USA stalwart feels that she was able to manipulate the world number two's game and get ahead of her in this game.

"I think I was aggressive and played with margin. Maybe it wasn't her best level today but I think I kind of forced her into some awkward positions. You know at any moment she [Iga Swiatek] can come back and play great tennis. So, for me, it was just about making sure my level stayed the same and actually trying to raise it. I knew in the second set I had to raise it because she could come back," she said.
