Tennis star Ben Shelton seems to be enjoying the support of his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, in the ongoing Mutua Madrid Open 2025. However, the USA star took the time to introduce his girlfriend to WTA star Coco Gauff. In one of the practice sessions in the Spanish city of Madrid, the 22-year-old star player was spotted greeting Coco Gauff and later introducing her to his girlfriend.

The WTA star Coco Gauff was even sharing a handshake and a heartwarming hug with Ben Shelton's girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, before heading back to the court to resume her practice. The video of Ben Shelton's girlfriend meeting with Coco Gauff has widely been shared on social media, with fans hailing USA superstars for mutual respect and friendship beyond the court.

Coco Gauff and Ben Shelton have been hailed as close friends, but Shelton has hilariously revealed that he and his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, will never go on a double date with Gauff and her boyfriend.

"Not the biggest double date guy, to be honest. More of a normal date guy. But I guess we’ll see. I definitely have a lot of friends who are in long-term relationships, but for it to match up where we’re all in the same place at the same time is unlikely," Shelton said.

Ben Shelton and Coco Gauff's Madrid Open run!

Meanwhile, Ben Shelton was last seen in action in the BMW Munich Open but lost the summit clash against eventual winner Alexander Zverev. Thereafter, the 22-year-old star defeated Mariano Navone in his opening-round clash. However, Shelton faltered against 19-year-old Jakub Mensik in the second round of the singles event.

However, Shelton and his doubles partner Rohan Bopanna are all set to face Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni in the pre-quarterfinals of the Madrid Open 2025.

On the contrary, Coco Gauff has made it to the quarter-finals of the Madrid Open 2025. The 21-year-old tennis star is now set to face Mirra Andreeva, with two WTA stars aiming to seal the semi-final berth in this game.
