WTA star and Polish superstar Iga Swiatek talks about one of her earlier interactions with Rafael Nadal and how it helped her improve as a player. The Polish Star has a lot of kind words to say about the King of Clay who taught her how to deal with the toughest situations in her career.
The time for legends in the World of sports eventually has to come to an end and this season we will see the last of Spanish legend Rafael Nadal who will be retiring from the game after the Davis Cup Finals. Many are going to miss seeing the star player on the court and it has come as a big disappointment for the fans as well to see one of the biggest pioneers retire from the game.

Iga shares her favorite Nadal memories
Looking at Iga Swiatek dominating on clay as well, it is no surprise that Nadal is one of her biggest idols in the sport. In fact, Iga has also shared one of her favorite moments with the King Of Clay where she remembers some of her interactions with him saying, "So I remember we practiced in Roland Garros once. That was actually like a gift for my birthday. So we hit for like 15 minutes and I realised that he’s really down to earth and humble. That was the first time I talked to him so it was special."

This was not all as Swiatek also disclosed how Nadal dealt with losses and taught her an important lesson further adding to the statement, "I saw him somewhere in the hotel and I told him that I even cried when he lost. He was so calm and he said, ‘That's just tennis and life goes on and there are gonna be different goals in the future.’ It is safe to say Swiatek will remember these lessons for the rest of her life.
