This is the last day for round three for the US Open and there are now 16 players left in the mens and womens singles going forward. This has really been a tournament that has been full of drama and excitement which all of us enjoy in the sport of tennis. After all this is Grand Slam week and we all don't expect anything from it at all as big fans of the game.
One of the players who has been on top form once again is Polish Superstar Iga Swiatek who has been having a peak season once again this season. This time she was up against former Grand Slam finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. This was perhaps the first challenge for Swiatek which she had to overcome to make sure she kept herself alive to win her second US Open title and 6th Grand Slam title overall.
Swiatek gets another easy victory
There is no doubt that Pavlyuchenkova was the more experienced player, but she was still up against a young and in form player in Swiatek which was made clear in the first set itself where the World number one broke her service and won the set by a score of 6-4. This was enough the put pressure on the 33-year-old Russian and The Polish superstar was just one set away from making it to round 4. The second set saw Swiatek at her absolute best and enjoys another straight win in the tournament.

This was another incredible win for Swiatek as she makes it through to the 4th round of US Open and has kept her chances alive going forward. This was another great game where the Polish superstar was at her best. She is now only a win away from the playoffs and it is sure that she will really be the biggest contender to win the title and get the big points to stay on top of the rankings and keep herself as the number one player in WTA.
