It is time for the Roland Garros final this season and we were finally down to the final two players who will be competing for the French Open title. This is the time we get to see who the champions in Paris will be in this last encounter. This will also be the end of the Clay season which has given us some great matches going into these final two games.

The finals in the WTA was one of the most interesting matchups which we never expected to see in a Grand Slam final at all. The match between Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini was set to take place today in the evening. This was one of those champions vs underdog battles that we all were looking forward to, while this was the chance for Swiatek to complete her French Open Three-peat, this was also the chance for Paolini to make history in her first Grand Slam final.

Iga creates history

The first set itself was once again Swiatek dominating the game from the start itself. The Polish 4-time Grand Slam winner put pressure on Jasmine Paolini straight away winning the first set 6-2. The second was equally dominated by the Polish as she goes onto win the second set as well by a score of 6-1 and beat the 28-year-old Italian in two straight sets as she goes onto achieve a 3-peat winning her 3rd consecutive French Open title.

This has been a great tournament for Swiatek and she has shown everyone why she is one of the most dominant players in the game right now. This is officially her 5th Grand Slam title and she will continue to hold the number 1 ranking going forward in this season. This was Swiatek's tournament and it has been a great Clay season and she still has a lot of tennis left in her going forward. This has been a Clay season to remember for the Polish superstar.
