WATCH: Emma Raducanu misses out on first Wimbledon quarter-finals after tough loss to Lulu Sun

The 4th round of Wimbledon is still going on and there are still a lot more matches to and many more playoff spots open. There have already been some great matches this season, that have given us some great matches so far. This has also been the tournament where we have got some great surprises as well. Overall this has been a tournament to look forward to and we are still to know who is going to win this Grass Court Grand Slam event this season. 

The match we all were looking forward to was between British superstar Emma Raducanu and surprise package qualifier Lulu Sun, who might have made it to round 4 by playing some great tennis which also included a victory over high-seeded player Qinwen Zheng. She was still up against one of the biggest English upcoming superstars in Raducanu, who was also a home favorite in this match. However, this tournament has taught us how to be prepared for surprises and that is what took place in this match.

Lulu Sun surprises Emma

There is no doubt that Lulu Sun is an unseeded player and had started the season playing the qualifiers of the tournament. This has been the real reason why it was already a big deal for her when she made it to round 4. However,  the young athlete from New Zealand had a trick up her sleeve in this game as she went on to win the first set by a margin of 6-2. Even after Raducanu came back into the match in the second set that did not stop the Kiwi from winning the last and final set and sealing a place in her first-ever Quarterfinal match in Wimbledon. On the other hand, this turned out to be another tough loss for Raducanu, which has resulted in her missing out on another playoff spot.

This might be another heartbreak for Raducanu who was trying to make a comeback this season, but this has also opened up another remarkable story which includes Lulu Sun, who has fought her way through the qualifiers and has now made it to the last eight players who will compete for the Grand Slam title. This was another great match in round 4 which kept us on our feet and we will all be looking forward to the next few games of this event. It has really been a joy to watch these games go down to the wire and also give us some surprising results.
