Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and top seed Jannik Sinner were seen practising next to each other ahead of the Wimbledon 2024. The duo will be in the limelight as the 137th edition of the most prestigious and oldest tennis tournament gets underway on Monday, July 1.
Alcaraz and Sinner have landed in the same half of the Wimbledon draw after the men's singles draw for the marquee event was announced at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday. The two superstars are likely to lock horns in the semi-finals, promising an enthralling knockout clash.

Meanwhile, in a video shared by Wimbledon on its official X handle, the two were spotted training alongside each other on the Wimbledon Aorangi courts. Both high seeds are making shots in perfect sync and the fans are loving it.
“Great capture, got some super stroke rhythm, poetry in motion,” commented one fan. “Tennis is in great hands,” wrote another user. “Alcaraz looks much more aesthetic,” another fan penned.

Alcaraz and Sinner start as favourites
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz are the two favourites to win the Wimbledon 2024. Meanwhile, World No. 2 Novak Djokovic is also a strong contender but the Serbian’s participation has yet to be confirmed after suffering a torn meniscus in his right knee during the French Open.

Notably, Spaniard Alcaraz overcame Djokovic in the Wimbledon final last year to win his maiden title in this competition. He also beat Sinner earlier last month en route to his maiden title in Roland Garros and a third Grand Slam triumph.
Sinner will start his campaign against Yannick Hanfmann and will aim for his maiden title at the All-England Club. The 22-year-old Italian had won the Australian Open in January. The men’s singles final is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.
