Novak Djokovic feels confident and fitter after Wimbledon practice session

Tennis: Novak Djokovic addressed the media after his practice session against Daniil Medvedev. The Serbian star claimed that he felt fitter and gained back the confidence to be in the court.

Novak Djokovic spoke to the media and reporters after the end of his practice session with Daniil Medvedev. The world-class player returned to action after having to vacate the French Open midway due to an injury. The Serbian made an effort to return to the court by having a training exercise with Daniil. Novak seemed to be confident after the session.
When asked about the same, the 36-year-old claimed that he enjoyed the practice session with Daniil Medvedev very much. He added that playing Tennis without an injury is the best feeling in the world. He felt glad to be pain-free. Novak acknowledged that it was a great test as he was up against one of the best players in the world.
Novak Djokovic said that practicing individually was different from doing it with someone like Daniil. He felt that the last few weeks have been intense given the surgery he had to undergo and rehab to get back to action as soon as possible. Djokovic was further asked about his stay in London so far this season. He expressed happiness to be back on the grass court.

The star player said that he always took a chance to allow himself to be fit before Wimbledon 2024. The Serbian thanked his surgeon and claimed him to be the MVP of 2024 for helping him recover quickly from the injury. Novak felt confident to be totally fit by the time matches started. "I kind of always wanted to give myself a chance to be in London," said Novak.
"I think my surgeon is here. He's the MVP for sure in the last three weeks. I'm trying to take it day by day and see how far it goes," added Novak during his chat with the media and reporters. It could be what Novak would have asked for ahead of the bug grass season. He would be hoping to win the title after losing in 2023.
