Carlos Alcaraz won the prestigious Rotterdam Open title by defeating Alex de Minaur 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the finals. The Spaniard clinched his 17th ATP title and the first since last year's China Open title when he defeated world no. 1 Jannik Sinner. After that, it was a complete title drought as he lost every ATP match in the knockout stages. Even in the last Australian Open, he faced defeat against Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals. This victory will be a moral boost for him even though he was not 100% fit.
The Spanish player was suffering from a cold run but with his talent and natural ability, he won the final match against Alex De Minaur. After the game, Alcaraz gave a victory speech and got emotional. Firstly, he thanked Alex De Minaur for his amazing campaign and congratulated him for the wonderful display throughout the tournament. Then he thanked his team for supporting him throughout the tough times.
