World number 3 and 4-time Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz vented out his frustration at the chair umpire during his China Open match against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard for being peanalized twice. The ugly side of tennis was revealed during this altercation with the official during his first match of the competition as Alcaraz was seen fuming with anger during this incident.

This is one of the rare occasions where Carlos Alcaraz, who considererd one of the greatest upcoming stars in the game and is known to have a smile on his face, lost his cool. This is perhaps the first time where we saw Alcaraz have a big altercation with the chair umpire as well. It is no doubt that Alcaraz is one of the best players in the world right now, but seeing him react like this is something that none of us had expected at all.

Reason behind Alcaraz's frustration

This might have not been a moment which Alcaraz would want to remember, and though he went on to win his match against Perricard in the end this might be one of the incidents that can cause a lot of damage. The altercation was due to Alcaraz being penalised for wasting time between the points with a automatic shot clock which gave him limited time between plays.

Alcaraz was fuming with anger as he said, "This is not tennis". This was not all as Alcaraz also pleaded with the official saying, "I'm always very quick, I never get warnings, You gave me two in one set. It's impossible to play tennis like this."

This is not the way Alcaraz would have wanted to start off his Asian tour as he has just come back from a really good Laver Cup event, and though it might seem to someone that he might be right, showing and venting your anger out on an official can cause a lot of probelms which we as fans will not want to see him face.
