After playing exhibition matches against Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe for a week, Carlos Alcaraz resumed his training at the Ferrero Tennis Academy. The four-time Grand Slam Champion didn't waste any time in starting work on Monday, according to Marca. While in Spain, Alcaraz is working alongside World No. 15 Jack Draper and No. 32 Flavio Cobolli. These are Alcaraz's peers who have shown promise and may play important roles in the forthcoming season.
Instead of attending warm-up competitions, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are scheduled to arrive in Melbourne in early January. Alcaraz will take part in two charitable exhibitions on January 8 and 10 at the Rod Laver Arena. Alcaraz will make time this Friday, despite his hectic schedule, to attend the opening of Los Pies en la Tierra (or "Feet on the ground"), an exhibition organized by the 'Fundacion Alcaraz' that highlights the tennis star's life story and advocates for equal chances for youngsters.

Alcaraz trained in Alicante with Jannik Sinner throughout the pre-season last year. Sinner, however, has chosen to be trained for the Australian Open in Dubai this year in order to try to reclaim his title.
Carlos Alcaraz also made plans to celebrate Christmas and New Year at his home. When the celebration is over, he will play directly at the Melbourne Slam avoiding his participation in any other event before. Carlos Alcaraz has already begun his strategy for the next season. Despite winning two majors, he lost his rank and became ATP number three. This setback might have impacted Alcaraz showing him the necessity of practice and physical fitness.
