The Spaniard faced Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals, who had recently delivered an impressive performance with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Holger Rune. Unfortunately, he was defeated 6-3, 6-3 by the reigning champions of both the French Open and Wimbledon. In the on-court interview that followed, he took a moment to share a lighthearted tribute to his baby son, who was there supporting him alongside his wife, Maria. It was a touching moment that added a personal touch to the competitive atmosphere.

Rafael Nadal confidently attributed his recent dip in form to the demands of fatherhood, humorously pointing to his baby son as a factor. His remarks followed his defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, October 17.

Carlos expressed that it was a privilege to compete against Rafa one last time, emphasizing gratitude for Nadal's enduring legacy and his role as an inspiration to countless individuals. He looks forward to seeing him again soon in Malaga.

"It was a privilege to play against Rafa one last time! Once again, thank you for your legacy and for being an inspiration to all of us! See you very soon in Malaga, but this time both wearing the colors of Spain" - Carlos
