The game of Tennis is built on the legacy of some great players who have had iconic moments in their career. One of the most iconic tennis players in Olympics is British superstar and former World number One Andy Murray. This will be a very important event for the 2-time Gold medalist who is playing his last tournament before retirement. However on this occassion Murray has chosen to put all his concentration on the doubles where he was playing with Dan Evans.
The duo was set to play the Japanese duo of Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel in their first round and this was the first obstacle for the British duo to stay alive in the competition. This was a thrilling game to watch which went down to all three sets, with the Englishmen being one set down early on. However they still made a comeback in the next two sets and kept their chances alive in the competition. This was a really great moment for the 3-time Grand Slam winner.
There was no doubt this was still a great match to witness where both the duo's gave it their all, but what was more iconic was the way Evans and Murray celebrated this win. We could see the emotion in both the players after the epic win. They also shared an iconic embrace which showed how much it meant to them to keep their chances alive in what will be one last dance for Murray in the Paris Olympics 2024. This was really great win and we all were happy to see the reactions of both these players which was filled with delight and emotion.
Andy Murray & Dan Evans share a hug after saving 5 consecutive match points to keep Andy’s career alive.
