The Paris Olympics draws are yet to begin and it will be a great event filled with some upcoming stars and legends of the game. This is the moment when the players have an opportunity to make their country proud and go for gold in one of the biggest sporting events in the world. There are a lot of potential players who will be looking to be at their competitive best in this upcoming tournament and we all will be thrilled to see all of them perform.

The player who will be playing his last Olympics this season is British superstar Andy Murray. The former World number one and 3-time Grand Slam winner will lead his nation this season for their last time in the Olympics and it will be great to see him perform one last time. Murray also has two Gold medals to his name in 2012 and 2016. It is safe to say that he is regarded as a national hero for his incredible accomplishments in this tournament. The fand will want him to give another impressive performance before his eventual retirement.

Murray withdraws from singles

There have already been a lot of surprises before the Olympics with some surprising withdrawals from players. Andy Murray has also withdrawn from the singles in the Olympics. However, Murray will still feature in the tournament and will play the doubles with his partner Dan Evans. Although, we all would have liked to see him play in singles one last time in a global event. The last singles match played by Murray was against Alexei Poppyrin in Queens. There will be a slight disappointment from the fans who wanted to see him win his third Gold medal in singles in an event where he has accomplished a lot.

Some people will also be unhappy to see that Murray will not be playing singles before retirement, but we should be happy that he will at least go on to feature in this tournament in some way. This could also be his chance to win his first Gold medal in doubles and be another opportunity for him to leave the game on a high note this season and leave a great legacy behind him.
