WATCH: Alexander Zverev drenches Arthur Fils with Champagne after his Hamburg Open triumph

The Hamburg Open was one of the tournaments played on clay surfaces played before the upcoming Olympics. There were some great players in the setup with the likes of Alexander Zverev and Holger Rune being the highest-ranked players in the tournament. There is no doubt this was one of the tournaments to look out for where we would witness some great players in the mix.

The finals of the tournament was played between World number 4 Alexander Zverev and young talented Frenchman Arthur Fils. While Zverev was the absolute favourite to win back-to-back titles over here, Fils had played some great tennis and showed it on the day as well. This was a thrilling 3-set final where Fils got the better of the German in the end and won his second career title. This was another great match to see between two great players who have been giving some iconic performances. This would also give him confidence going into the Olympics which is just 5 days away from starting.

Zverev Champagne attack

There was no doubt that this was another great match to see just before the Olympics and we all had enjoyed watching these two players battle it out on the day. Though there was a bit of drama in the match where the crowd and Zverev were against the underarm serve by Arthur Fils which led to the whole crowd going against him, this was still another great tournament and the beef between the players was settled as well as Zverev went on to drench Fils with Champagne as well. This was the moment where both the players settled their disputes after a great finale and it was a great sight to witness them both still having some fun.

Though it looked like just a harmless and joyful moment after the tournament, there are still some fans on social media who still think that Zverev had it in for the young man and thought that this was a childish revenge taken on Fils. However, it feels like some fans are just taking this situation deeper than it should be. This certainly looked like that the German sensation was just having some harmless fun and there will be no beef between the players going forward after this tournament.
