What chances will a retired player have to win Roland Garros 2025? For a plethora of the ones, the same as active players. In the last 24 hours, the betting odds for the French Open, the second Grand Slam for the next campaign, have gone viral on social media. There, they have a list of top contenders to win in Paris, including Carlos Alcaraz,Jannik Sinner, and a certain Novak Djokovic. After them, there are still players like Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas, and none other than Rafael Nadal is on the list.
However, Nadal, who hung up his boots in November this year, starts with the same chances as Daniil Medvedev or Andrey Rublev and might be more than Holger Rune.

If it’s the last time that I played here, I am at peace with myself: Rafael Nadal
While Nadal acknowledged the challenges of his later years, he expressed pride in his accomplishments. “If it’s the last time that I played here, I am at peace with myself. I tried everything to be ready for this tournament for almost 20 years. And today and the last two years I have been working and going through probably the toughest process in my tennis career, with the dream to come back here. At least I did that. I mean, I lost, but that’s part of the business.” Nadal said.
