The Paris Olympics 2024 is just 7 days away and there are a lot of big stars who will be favourites to win a medal for their country. This will be a tournament which will feature some top players in the scene. Some great legends of the game will also be looking to get their hands on gold glory in this global event. We all are looking forward to players like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic getting their hands on the gold, but there is one legend who will also be remembered for his contribution.

The player we will be talking about is Andy Murray who is considered a national hero by the nation. Apart from being a 3-time Grand Slam winner and former World number one, the Britisher has also got his hands on two Gold medals which he won in 2012 and 2016. It is safe to say that this has made him an Olympic hero for everyone around the world and we have celebrated him for a long time during his career. It is safe to say that Murray will always be an iconic figure in the game of Tennis. 

Murray to bid adieu

There is no doubt that Murray has built a legacy of brilliance throughout his career, but we also need to remember that he has not been physically fit to play this season. Murray was last seen in Wimbledon where he played doubles with his brother Jamie Murray. The 37-year-old recently has finally announced his retirement and will be playing his last tournament in the Olympics. Murray tweeted on X stating, "Arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament @Olympics, Competing for Great Britain have been by far the most memorable weeks of my career and I’m extremely proud to get do it one final time!"

This will officially be the last tournament we will ever see featuring the likes of Andy Murray and we are proud to be part of the legacy of such a great player, who will end his career in the Paris Olympics 2024. The fans have given some positive reactions as well wishing the legend all the luck and we hope to see him give one final great performance in the upcoming tournament.
