The US Open has given us some greatperformances from players who were not even expected to make it as far as they did in the tournament. One of the players whose performance we enjoyed in the Grand Slam event is Paula Badosa. The Spaniard beat some top players on the card and made it through to her first ever quarter finals in new York.

Paula Badosa was still going to be up against Emma Navarro in the quarter final match who just came from a great victory against defending champion Coco Gauff. There is no doubt this was going to be a battle all of us were looking forward to in this Grand Slam. The two havd had a great journey into the playoffs and there was no doubt that this was one of the best matchups of the tournament to watch out for.

Badosa chokes again

Though there were a lot of fans who were backing Badosa in the US Open, this match did not really start well for her at all. In fact Badosa ended up losing the first set to Navarro by a score of 6-2. Even though Badosa tried to make a comeback in the 2nd set which at one point she was looking good to win it as well. However Navarro came back and ended up getting a straight victory over Badosa and made it to her first semi final in a Grand Slam event.

The fans on social media have also given their views on Badosa choking again during the playoffs. This was clearly one of the most underwhelming performances we saw from the World number 2 who had all the fans backing her to get Grand Slam glory. We still have to give props to Navarro who has herself been playing some great tennis, but we cannot ignore the fact this was another choke from Badosa and it seems like we will have to wait longer for her to achieve the Grand Slam victory.

Here is how the fans have react-
