The season of Grand Slams might be over and most of the big stars are on a vacation break right now, but we still have some tournaments lined up going forward one of the tournaments is the Korea Open in Seoul which has been promoted to a WTA 500 tournament and was set to feature some big stars of the game who we have seen this season.

Though this might not be one of the most hyped tournaments to look forward to this would still be a tournament where some of the players could get some important points which could affect their rankings in the future. This might be important for even the top-ranked players in the setup as well who have had a season to remember as well.

Many stars announce their withdrawal from the Korea Open

There were a lot of big stars who were about to feature in this upcoming tournament but it seems like we have a series of withdrawals which have come our way. The likes of Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina are some of the big stars who have withdrawn from the tournament.

This is shocking because even though Iga is currently the World number one she would still want to come back after not being able to finish off the last two Grand Slams in a strong fashion. These two might have been the stars who we all would look forward to as well.

They are not the only ones who have withdrawn since players like https://sports.info/tennis/canadian-tennis-beauty-issues-clarification-after-fans-attacked-her-over-money-cant-buy-us-open-final-comment-on-jessica-pegula-7063712 who was the defending champion and Emma Navarro who have just had one of their best Grand Slam events in the US Open will also not feature in the tournament.

Though, understandably, the players do need a break after a long season of intense tournaments, they will also need some points which could benefit them going forward in the next few tournaments of the season to stay on top in the rankings.
