Unfortunately, there was another Spaniard who came into the foray. looking at the first set of the match it looked like another Djoker Nole landslide victory, but Carlos Alcraz had other plans as he went on to win the next two sets putting the Serbian powerhouse under pressure. This was the match that set the tone of one of the greatest rivalries in Tennis. It was the invincible Roger Federer who had never lost a single Wimbledon final and though Rafael Nadal had got the better of him on clay, he had struggled to get a win against Federer in Wimbledon. Even in this match, the odds were in favor of the Swiss Maestro. However, everything went south straight away for Federer as he lost the first two sets convincingly. There was a great comeback as he went on to win the next two tiebreaker sets to get back in the game. It was all down to the last and final tie-breaker and that was time the King of Clay had finally got one over the Swiss and won his first Wimbledon title.

This is a battle that was like a movie itself, with the calm and collective Bjorn Borg was up against the hotheaded spirit of John Mcenroe. After that, it was Borg coming back into his element and winning the next two sets. It was the third set that got the people on their feet which ended a grueling tiebreaker in favor of Mcenroe.
