Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has stormed into the semi-finals of the Italian Open 2025 after a stellar quarter-final win over Jack Draper. The four-time Grand Slam winner is set to face local boy Lorenzo Musetti in this clash. Alcaraz has won the ABN AMRO Open and the Monte Carlo Masters and must be aiming to win the third title of this year in Rome.
Notably, Jack Draper was just one win away from his new world rank of four for the first time in his career and seems in great form while facing Alcaraz. However, Draper failed to gain an advantage over Alcaraz's unforced errors, which allowed his opponent to win the game with a straight-set victory.

Tim Henman pinpoints Carlos Alcaraz's weaknesses
Despite this stellar victory, former tennis star Tim Henman says that there are still a few weak spots that Alcaraz has in his game. The 50-year-old legend pointed out flaws in the Spaniard's shot selection in the matches. The British star feels that his shot selection was erratic during his quarterfinal game against Jack Draper.
However, he also said that the 22-year-old tennis star still has some ways to go to match the levels of intensity that big players have in their game. Carlos Alcaraz must be eyeing to defend his French Open title.
“The one area I have reflected on with Alcaraz for some time is shot selection. Shot selection is around concentration, clarity of thought and when I watched him play today [against Draper], it was erratic. He does hit some amazing shots, but he throws in a double fault when you are least expecting it and he goes for a crazy shot and misses it. I love watching him play, he’s absolutely brillant, but there there are times when he lacks the discipline around shot selection,” Henman told Sky Sports Tennis.
