Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz seems ecstatic after knowing that he is the second-seeded player in the forthcoming French Open 2025. He joked that he won't have to face formidable ATP player Jannik Sinner unless he reaches the final showdown. Notably, Alcaraz is the defending champion at the Roland Garros, as he defeated Alexander Zverev in the summit clash to win the title.
The star player must be looking to defend his title for the first time. He seems to be in red-hot form this year. The four-time major champion has won the ABN Amro Open and Monte Carlo Masters earlier this year, while he made it to the finals of the Barcelona Open 2025. He seems to be having a stellar clay court season and will be looking to enter one of the title factories in the second Grand Slam of the year.

Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz has been making bold headlines with his performance in the Italian Open 2025. The Spaniard has already stormed into the semi-finals of the Rome Masters 1000 tournament. He will be facing local star Lorenzo Musetti in the semi-final clash, with two players aiming to seal a final berth in this game.
He has defeated Jack Draper in the quarter-finals to storm into the last four rounds in Rome. After the win, Alcaraz was seen asking about his seeding at the French Open 2025.
“I think it's great being (the) second seed in Roland Garros, knowing that I'm not going to see Jannik before the final, if I reach it. I think it's great. It's something that I didn't think about, honestly. Before coming here, No. 1, it wasn't a goal. Knowing that, it's a great thing,” Carlos Alcaraz said in the press conference.
