Emma Raducanu's stellar Miami Open 2025 comeback
Raducanu has said that she has a competitive spirit, which allowed her to stage her comeback after a long period. The Toronto-born star admitted that she had been missing the intent for the last few months after performing poorly on the court in the recent WTA tours.
The former British number one said that she still has a lot of hunger and competitive spirit in herself, which has kept her going here. Notably, Raducanu has suffered defeat in her opening round during Qatar Open 2025 and Indian Wells 2025 and was seen struggling with her form.
The star player suffered defeat in the third round during the Australian Open 2025 and failed on the biggest stage. However, the star player's performance in Miami will bolster her confidence.
"Circumstances change all the time, but for me the biggest thing I'm proud of is finding the competitive spirit and being there for every ball and drawing that out of myself. I think that's been missing in the last few months and even few years at times. That's the biggest win for me, feeling a lot of hunger, feeling on the court competitive, wanting to run down every ball, and that's the biggest win I from this week," Raducanu told reporters after making her first WTA 1000 quarter-final.
