Sumit Nagal jumps to career best 80th position in ATP rankings

There have been a lot of Indian tennis players who have been achieving great things in the game. We all know the likes of Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna are exceptional players, but there is still a need for an Indian tennis player to achieve something in the popular singles category. This has been a struggling scene for players in this category and there are only a few players who have gone on to achieve this feat.

There have been some tennis players who have reached the top 100 tennis players, which is a massive achievement since this can give them an exposure in ATP or grand slam tournaments. One of the players who is at the helm for the Indian tennis players right now is Sumit Nagal. Nagal has been making waves when he qualified for the Australian Open and made it to the second round and showed some great performances in the Monte Carlo as well. He will also go onto feature in the upcoming French open where he is only the second Indian to make it in the main draw.

Nagal rises up the rankings

This time he has jumped 15 positions and is currently 80th in the ATP rankings right now. This is another great achievement for an Indian tennis player who is trying to make a mark in the singles. Though we can be proud of Nagal for these achievements we will still want him to go the distance. This is the time when he will need some titles to his name to rise further in the rankings.
