There have been a lot of iconic players in the mix already in this tournament and one of them is former world number 3 Stefanos Tsistsipas. The 25-year-old Greek might have lost his place in the top 10, but still has a chance in the Monte Carlo Masters where he has won two consecutive titles in 2021 and 2022. TsiTsipas will be one of the players who can match up to the game of the current world rankers in the tournament, with his offensive style of play where he covers the whole court completely.

Tsitsipas to face Alexander Zverev in 3rd round

Tsitsipas started the season with a walkover victory in the first round of the tournament. This made sure he qualified for the second round to play against low-seeded player Tomas Martin Etcheverry. As usual, the 2-time Grand Slam finalist made easy work out of this match crushing the Argetenian in two straight sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-0. Though this was a one-sided encounter this has got Tsitsipas closer to a third Monte Carlo title.

However, Tsitsipas is set to face a worthy adversary in current world number 5 ranked player Alexander Zverev. This could be the match for the ages between two talented players. Zverev and Tstitsipas will be battling for a spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament. This is a chance for the Greek to announce himself in the tennis world by beating one of the top players in tennis right now. The fact that these two are known for their aggressive style of play will be something to look at going forward in the tournament.
