Russian Tennis legends Nikolay Davydenko and Elena Vesnina brutally criticise Australian star and 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios on his comeback announcement calling him overrated and a clown. Some harsh words were said by the Russian greats on the Aussie Wild Child as he announced his comeback in December.
The career of Nick Kyrgios has been full of drama and controversies that have often kept him in the headlines. There was a time when the Aussie was among the biggest stars of Australian tennis players but has now not been as active on the court at all. However, Kyrgios has made it clear that he will be making a comeback and has already set his focus on the upcoming Australian Open hoping to shut down some of his biggest haters and critics in the Tennis World.

Russian greats criticise the Aussie Wild Child
There is no doubt that Kyrgios was among the most talented tennis players in his country, but due to his controversial and unapologetic statements and lack of seriousness towards the game have led to a lot of hate in the Tennis World.
The latest people to criticise him now are two Russian legends Nikolay Davydenko and Elena Vesnina who had some harsh words to say about Nick where Davydenko openly said, "He is generally overrated… When it was time to play, he was always injured. In short, let’s forget about him."
This was some brutal criticism by Davydenko on the Betboom Tennis Russian outlet, but he was also joined by former Doubles World number Elena Vesnina as well who also agreed with him saying, "Clown, I agree. But he was incredibly talented and gifted, He had a powerful serve and a superb forehand. But when it came to winning a major title, all that went up in smoke.” Through these statements, it is safe to say that Kyrgios has a lot to prove when he is back on the court.
