The Roland Garros is now down to four players who are on the road to win the iconic Grand Slam title in Paris. It has been a great tournament which has featured some great matches and we are now down to two more games just before the finals. The match we will be talking about is a matchup none of us ever thought might be possible. The match is going to be played between the two first-time semi-finalists in the Roland Garros. The match will be between 12th-seeded Italian Jasemine Paolini and young and upcoming Russian player Mirra Andreeva. both these players have beaten some big players to reach this far and we all will be looking forward to seeing who will be the first among them to reach the finals of the competition.
The battle of the dark horses
Both these players are the surprise factors of the tournament and have impressed everyone with victories over high-ranking players. While Paolini caused a major upset by beating an in for Elena Rybakina, the 17-year-old prodigy Mirra Andreeva has beaten world number 2 Aryna Sabalenka. Now it will be a battle for the finals between the two players. Though Paolini looks like the favorite in this contest in terms of experience and winning titles, Mirra Andreeva was the one who beat the Italian in the Madrid Open this season. This is only the 2nd game between these two and it is set to be an interesting clash between them.
Though these two might not be the biggest and most popular players in the scene, The matchup is still really interesting on paper. They are certainly the dark horses of the tournament and it will be a joy to watch them battle it out. It is the Experienced Italian against the rising star from Russia and we are up for another great playoff match.
