Novak Djokovic makes easy work of Cobolli as he moves into round 4 of Shanghai Masters

Novak Djokovic beats Flavio Cobolli in the third round match of the Shanghai Masters 1000 and makes it through to the fourth round of the competition as he beats the Italian with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. The Serbian legend keeping his chances alive to win his fifth title at the venue and win his first ATP 1000 title in 2024.

The 2024 season for Novak Djokovic has not really been the best for him at all as he has failed to win a single ATP title this season. The 24-time Grand Slam winner has only had one good run this season where he went on to win his first-ever Olympic Gold medal in Paris after beating Carlos Alcaraz. However, there is hardly anything to cheer about for Djokernole in the ATP tour but it turns out he is looking in great form in this ongoing Shanghai Masters where he has showcased some great performances.

Djokovic enjoys one-sided victory against Cobolli

Novak Djokovic might not be in his prime this season but we cannot forget that he is still one of the highest ranking players and the highest seed in the tournament. This was proven in this third-round match against the talented Italian where the World number 4 completely dominated both the sets winning by huge margins. This was Djokovic at his best and this win has kept him alive in the competition where he is looking good to win his 5th title in the Shanghai Masters this season.

Novak will now be going into the 4th round where he will be up against Roman Safiullin and is looking hungry for the title. It has been a great set of performances so far very early into the Asian tour for Djokovic and with him performing consistently like this there is no doubt that he will remain the favourite to win the tournament.
