Novak Djokovic completes 420 weeks as world number one ranked ATP player

Novak Djokovic became the longest reigning world number 1 ranked player in tennis completing 420 weeks at the top. Another great achievement for the current greatest of all time.

There have been many great players in tennis right now with a number of legendary tennis players in the mix. Players such as Bjorn Borg and John Mcenroe in the mens and Billie Jean King and Steffi Graff in womens are some of the most iconic players who built their own legacy and dominated the game. We cannot forget what these players have given to the number 1 racket game in the world.

The greatest tennis player right now is the Serbian powerhouse Novak Djokovic. Djokovic has been dominating the game of tennis having great rivalries with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. In fact Djokovic has won the most grand slam titles with 24 to his name. He is still the number 1 ranked player in the ATP rankings which he has held for a long time. Djokovic holds the number 1 rank for 420 weeks

We all know that Djoko has now overtaken the likes of Roger Federer in being the oldest world number one ranked player. He has now been at the top for 420 weeks. This is currently the longest a player has stayed at the top in the ATP rankings. Djokovic is still dominating the game with his versatile style of tennis where he has dominated the game in all three surfaces. There has been no one right now who has been able to push Djokovic down the rankings yet. This is another record that will go in the books featuring the 36-year-old superstar.

The era of Djokovic is one of the most brilliant eras in the game. He has held great rivalries with some of the best players in the world and has won close to 100 ATP titles as well. He is still moving strong in the last phase of his career. He is currently featuring in the Monte Carlo masters and will most likely play the French Open as well. We all should cherish the great and decorated career of one of the legends of the modern era, who has had the most success out of any great legend in the game of tennis.
