Tennis star Alexander Zverev has talked about one player he hates playing against. The German-born star has talked about how he 'hates' playing one ATP star, whom he has named as 'most difficult.' Surprisingly, this player is not Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz, who have been showcasing their dominance on the ATP tours.

Notably, the star player is all set to begin his campaign in the Italian Open 2025, where he will be looking to bolster the preparations for the French Open 2025. Zverev is the defending champion in the Rome Masters and will be looking for his title defense this time. He will be hunting for his second title this year after winning the BMW Munich Open. Zverev made it to the finals of the Australian Open but lost to eventual winner Sinner in the finals clash.
Zverev was last seen in action in the Mutua Madrid Open 2025. He was beaten by star player Francisco Cerundolo and currently holds a 0-3 record against him. Speaking about the same subject, Zverev revealed that he hates playing against this Argentine player. He later admitted that apart from Jannik and Carlos, Cerundolo is one of the most difficult players to play. He further added that he hasn't found a way to beat him and to play against him.
“Yeah, that I hate playing him, to be honest (smiling). “I mean, I think outside of the top guys, like Jannik and Carlos, he’s probably the most difficult for me to play. Haven’t really figured out how to play him. Haven’t really figured out a way to beat him, which shows on the record. But all in all, I thought my level of tennis was okay there. I thought I played three pretty good matches there. Also winning Munich the week before… I feel like my tennis is at the right spot right now,” he said.
