There have hardly been any players who have got the better of the Holy Trinity in their prime. The player who had done that in the past was British Tennis star, Andy Murray. The former world number 1 is perhaps one of the best in the UK and has had some great matches in his career. With 3 Grand Slams and 46 ATP titles to his name, it is safe to say that he has been an iconic player in his prime and has had a great career.

Though we have all enjoyed the triumphs of Andy Murray, it is safe to that he has been giving some lacklustre performances this season that has moved him further down the rankings. He is currently outside the top 100 and just lost his first game on grass this season to Marcos Giron in two straight sets. This was disappointing, knowing that Murray has also been a great player on Grass. It was another underwhelming performance from the great player.

Murray opens up about his struggles

This was not the start Murray would have wanted in the grass court season and he will not be happy with this loss to an unseeded player like Giron. This was once again a game we would like to forget. The British star has even opened up on his struggles this season saying, "I’ve been struggling with breaking serve. I’ve not broken for a few matches and that’s usually been a strength of mine, On a quick surface like grass, the sets are tight. When your chances come you have to be clinical – he was and I wasn’t."

Listening to Murray on this aspect has most likely been the point, of why he has been going through these bad times. In the end, the Brit ends his statement by saying, "My game needs to improve, the level of tennis on the tour is high. I need to play better if I want to win more matches.” With these words, we hope to see a much more improved Andy Murray in the upcoming games.
