The 2025 Australian Open Grand Slam winner Madison Keys is preparing for the Indian Wells 2025 event. She recently became the current oldest Grand Slam winner at 29 years. The American tennis player beat two-time AO Open winner Aryna Sabalenka in the finals by winning two sets out of 3.

Madison will carry the same confidence into the WTA 1000 event. She wants to win the BNP Paribas 2025 cup. She wants to silence her critics who call her ‘one hit wonder’. Keys is seen practicing with her friend Elena Rybakina at the 2025 Indian Wells.
The most shocking defeat was Aryna Sabalenka’s loss to Madison Keys. Nobody expected Madison to win the AO Open, but she did it with flair by beating top seeds Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and finally Aryna Sabalenka.
She also defeated Jessica Pegula in the Adelaide International finals. Keys will be competing in the Indian Wells Open this week and then will head to Florida for the Miami Open 2025. Before the French Open 2025 Grand Slam, she will play in the Charleston, Madrid and the Italian Open.
Madison Keys has improved a lot over the years, as she has improved her ability to serve and her forehand speed, which played a key role in her win against Aryna Sabalenka in the Australian Open 2025 finals. She also improved her break point conversion with her resilience and mental strength.
Keys already has the Australian Open Grand Slam, so she will be looking to win the remaining three French, Wimbledon and US Open titles and make it a tennis career and a calendar grand slam. This will show her dominance across different surfaces of play.
Sabalenka is strong on hard courts and is dominant in the US Open and Australian Open tournaments. But her records on Clay and Grass surfaces are not promising as Sabelenka is yet to win a title. The Indian Wells 2025 tournament starts March 2, and the main draw will begin on March 5.
