Reports suggest that India star pacer Jasprit Bumrah might be rested for the final Test against New Zealand at the Wankhede. This could be one of the most shocking decisions by the team as they will need a perfect replacement for one of the best bowlers in the World right now to avoid possible whitewash against the Blackcaps.

The New Zealand team has done the unthinkable by being the first team after 2012 to beat the mighty Indian team in a Test Series at home. The winning streak has finally been broken as the Kiwis have gone on to win the first two Test matches by huge margins and have a chance to whitewash them in Mumbai as well. This has made India's chances of making it to the WTC final questionable as well.

Bumrah to be rested for the 3rd Test?

There is no doubt that this has been one of the most underwhelming Test Series for the Indian team and all they can do right now is play for a consolation victory at the Wankhede, however, there are some shocking reports that have come saying that India star paceman Jasprit Bumrah will most likely be rested for the final Test. This will be a shocking thing to see because even though The 2024 T20 World Cup Man of the Series has not had the best series, he is still one of the reliable pacers who has won a lot of games.

Though we understand that Bumrah might be rested for the upcoming matches like the Border Gavaskar series, it will still not be wise to give up just yet as India still has some chance to make it to the WTC Final if they win the last game. It will also be a challenge for them to find the perfect replacement for him in the playing squad who could be as trustworthy as him. All we can do now is wait and watch if the Indian team can manage to pull out a win even without one of their biggest stars.
